Gazebos

What are gazebos?

Generally constructed of an open timber design with a traditional roof structure which in some cases would appear too elaborate for the main frame, nevertheless this makes it an attractive feature.

There are no hard and fast rules for designs can have 2,3,4 or more sides as the design dictates.

Walls at the uppermost part are normally lattice or open in some way but still built in a manner to give strength and stability to what is seen as a stand alone structure.

Seating can be either built in or free standing and because it's permanently covered can house a degree of soft furnishing to suit your climate.

They are generally built by plan and the work might be complex even for a trained craftsman.

Kits ARE available giving full instructions for the erection and construction bearing in mind that the size of any structure will need firm ground or a foundation to distribute the weight evenly.

Gazebos, trellises and screens work extremely well together.
