Chalets

Chalets can be the most elaborate of garden buildings or a modest retreat to compliment any garden design.

This is where the description “shed” ends and anything more elaborate begins. You tend to think of these as an extension to the home where everything is neat and tidy with doors opening up to a little home from home.

Many of these mini dwellings are home to poolside buildings, offices and additional guest rooms when needed. These are becoming more and more popular as are hot tubs, saunas and pools, which although being above the average spend for the garden, are being requested frequently.

A summer house can be a great option to store not only all garden tools and equipment but are big enough to partition off for other uses, freeing up space in the home.

An adequate base of concrete on a well-prepared base will take any chalet or outbuilding and its requirements easily. Very often a veranda is set to the opening of these features and there’s no reason why you can’t modify it with a patio or extended decking.
